About this role
Overview
The Aladdin Solutions Product Architect is a senior, product-focused role responsible for shaping and delivering Aladdin-powered solutions for complex investment and trading workflows. The role partners across the business and Aladdin product & engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable, platform-aligned solutions. This is a high-impact role for someone who is energized by solving hard problems, operating across organizational lines, and turning ambiguity into action. The role offers a strong platform to demonstrate horizontal leadership through influence, partnership, and outcome-oriented execution.
Role Mission
Lead end-to-end solution design and execution for strategic initiatives by translating complex workflows into scalable Aladdin designs, driving co-build delivery across teams, and ensuring alignment to platform principles, APIs, and long-term architecture.
This team will operate as a unified partner with BlackRock business teams to shape and deliver some of the firm’s most critical and market-transformational workflows. The work will largely center on complex, multi-year strategic initiatives that require deep partnership across business, product, and engineering teams to redesign how investment and trading workflows are automated at scale.
- Fully automating the equity index order generation process.
- Fully automating FX trading workflows.
- Significantly increasing automation across the cash investment lifecycle, including PM and trading workflows.
- Evolving how order generation is automated by better leveraging market liquidity and platform intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with BlackRock business and Aladdin product stakeholders to design target-state solutions for complex, cross-functional workflows.
- Define what belongs in Aladdin versus business-owned technology, including APIs, data models, and end-to-end workflow design.
- Drive co-build execution across product and engineering teams, resolving dependencies and translating designs into build-ready requirements.
- Provide initiative leadership across design, build, and early production, with clear ownership, sequencing, and decision-making.
- Act as a senior partner to stakeholders across BGM and Aladdin, aligning teams and driving forward decisions.
- Ensure solutions follow Aladdin engineering standards and support scalable, reusable platform outcomes.

Qualifications
- 8–15+ years in product management, business analysis, solution architecture, or related implementation roles.
- Experience across front-office investment workflows, including portfolio management, trading, and operations.
- Strong Aladdin platform expertise or comparable OMS / investment platform experience.
- Strong API and AI fluency, with the ability to take an API-first and AI-first approach to problem solving, workflow design, and solution architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge conventional approaches and help the business push boundaries in how API- and AI-enabled solutions are designed and adopted.
- Ability to bridge business needs and technical design while influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and execution skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Role Scope
- This is a senior, horizontal role focused on strategic, cross-functional initiatives.
- It is not a traditional single-domain PM, BA, or pure program management role.
- The role is focused on execution and solution delivery, not BAU support or incremental enhancements.

- Adoption of scalable, reusable platform solutions with successful transition to steady state.

Our hybrid work model
