About Zapp
Zapp is London's leading premium convenience retail platform. Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market, currently dominated by major players, by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. Zapp partners with some of the world's leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.
The Role
This is not a traditional marketing director role. Zapp moves fast, operates lean, and holds itself to a standard that most marketing teams would find uncomfortable. The person we’re looking for has actively sought out this environment. They are culturally switched on, commercially sharp, and instinctively understand what it means to build a brand that London's most discerning customers actually want to be associated with.
You will take full ownership of Zapp's marketing function - the team, the strategy, the output, and the standard. You will run brand, paid, CRM, social, influencer, and partnerships. You will be the most senior marketing voice in the building day to day, and you will be expected to operate like it.
What You Will Own
-
The full marketing function
Every customer-facing channel is yours - CRM, paid social, organic social, influencer, OOH, partnerships, and experiential. You drive strategy, hold the standard, and are accountable for the output across all of them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

-
The team
You will build, lead, and develop the marketing team directly. You set the bar for what good looks like, you develop the people around you, and you build a team that does not need to be managed into action.
-
Brand campaigns end to end
From brief through to live execution, we run everything in-house so you will work closely with the Creative Director on integrated campaigns - owning the strategy, the media planning, the channel mix, and the final sign-off.
-
Cultural relevance and brand awareness
You know what is happening in London before it trends. You understand which activations, collaborations, and moments will genuinely move the needle for Zapp's audience. You bring ideas that nobody asked for and you back them with a point of view.
-
Influencer and partnership strategy
You identify the right people, brands, and moments to put Zapp alongside. Not the obvious ones - the ones that make our customer feel like we get them.
-
Brand perception and customer insight
You track how London sees Zapp, run research where it matters, and turn findings into better positioning and sharper campaigns. You are as comfortable in the data as you are in the creative.
-
Cross-functional integration
You make sure marketing thinking is embedded into CRM, commercial, and product decisions - not bolted on at the end. You are the connective tissue between the brand and the rest of the business.
