SENIOR BLA LAWYER, SCRIPTED TV PRODUCTION

Our client is an established scripted production studio, part of an international group of studios. They produce content for some of the biggest names in the business, selling their popular titles internationally.

They wish to hire a part-time scripted TV lawyer to join the business on a 3-day week basis.

This role is a pivotal hire for the business. They need a business partner, who can think on their feet and add value from day one. You will have strong commercial instincts and be a great person to have around. You will be sitting with heads of the business, with a focus on development projects initially. You will also pick up production work as the slate grows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the negotiation of complex production-related agreements, including development agreements, commissioning agreements, contributor deals, talent contracts, IP acquisition and license agreements, and co-production/distribution deals.
  • Oversee the rights clearance processes.
