Director – Cloud & Infrastructure - Hybrid - Up to £117K + Benefits

My client is a leading accountancy and business advisory firm that supports ambitious, entrepreneurial and high-growth organisations as they navigate an increasingly complex and fast-changing business environment.

This is an opportunity to join a growing Consulting practice and play a senior leadership role within its Digital team.

The Opportunity

The Digital practice helps organisations create competitive advantage, enable business transformation and identify new opportunities for growth through technology.

Its approach combines long-term strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery, measurable outcomes and near-term value. The ambition is to provide clients with an integrated, business-led, end-to-end technology advisory and delivery capability.

An experienced Director - Cloud & Infrastructure is now sought to strengthen the senior leadership team and help grow this capability.

Reporting to a Partner, you will take a leading role in shaping Cloud & Infrastructure propositions, developing client relationships, overseeing complex engagements and driving growth across the UK. You will work closely with colleagues across Digital, including specialists in cloud, data, applications and cyber, to develop integrated solutions to complex client challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of Cloud & Infrastructure solutions aligned with clients' strategic and operational requirements.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on cloud transformation, infrastructure modernisation and technology strategy.
  • Translate complex business and technology challenges into scalable, commercially viable solutions.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership across complex client engagements.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of delivery and technical excellence.
  • Develop compelling Cloud & Infrastructure propositions that address evolving client needs.
  • Work across the wider Digital practice to create integrated, end-to-end technology solutions.

About You

You will be an established Cloud & Infrastructure consulting leader with a strong combination of technical expertise, client leadership, commercial capability and people management experience.

You are likely to bring:

  • Proven experience operating at Senior Manager, Director or equivalent level within consulting or professional services.
  • Deep expertise in Cloud & Infrastructure, including public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and modern infrastructure technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience leading complex technology engagements from initial solution design through to successful delivery.
  • A strong track record of business development and revenue generation, including sales and go-to-market activity.
  • Experience developing senior client relationships and acting as a trusted technology advisor.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology ecosystem and ideally experience developing Microsoft alliance relationships.
  • The ability to design and position integrated digital solutions spanning multiple technology disciplines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive and senior leadership level.
  • Experience building, leading and developing consulting teams.
  • A strong coaching mindset with a focus on developing capability and creating high-performing teams.

Desirable Experience

Additional experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Large-scale digital or technology transformation programmes.
  • Multi-disciplinary technology delivery combining areas such as cloud, infrastructure, data, applications and cyber.
  • Cloud migration and modernisation programmes.
  • Infrastructure transformation and operating model design.
  • Microsoft-led transformation programmes.
  • Experience within sectors such as Financial Services, Life Sciences or the Public Sector.
