2293 - Director, Commerce Delivery & Capability (UK)
Role Summary and Impact
The Commerce Delivery & Capability Director (UK) is a senior leadership role responsible for how commerce is executed and scaled across the UK business.
This role owns the end-to-end delivery model across retail media activation and embedded commerce teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all clients. It is accountable for building the systems, standards, and capabilities required to deliver performance and enable scalable growth.
Working in close partnership with the VP, Commerce UK and VP, Commerce Strategy & Consultancy, this role ensures commerce strategies and solutions are effectively operationalised and embedded within client organisations.
Key responsibilities

Own the commerce delivery model
- Define and lead the end-to-end commerce delivery model across activation and embedded teams
- Establish standards for execution excellence across all clients
- Ensure delivery is consistent, scalable, and aligned to client objectives

Lead activation at scale
- Own all retail media activation (onsite and offsite)
- Drive performance excellence across optimisation, pacing, reporting, and QA
- Ensure campaigns are executed effectively, efficiently, and to a high standard

Build capability and systems for scale
- Design and implement operating models, playbooks, and delivery standards
- Build capability frameworks and training programmes across teams
- Drive consistency, efficiency, and quality across all delivery functions

Drive integration across channels
- Ensure commerce is fully embedded within wider media execution (search, social, programmatic)
- Align with cross-channel teams to deliver joined-up activation
- Enable connected execution across platforms and disciplines

Own performance and governance
- Set and track performance benchmarks and KPIs
- Identify and resolve delivery risks, inefficiencies, and gaps
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational rigour

Influence client outcomes
- Partner with VP Commerce UK to support client performance and growth agendas
- Contribute to client conversations where execution and delivery are critical
- Ensure delivery aligns to commercial objectives and measurable outcomes
Key relationships
- VP, Commerce UK – client priorities, commercial direction
- VP, Commerce Strategy & Consultancy – strategy definition and product development
- Growth (UK & EMEA) – pitch support and execution input
- Wider media teams – cross-channel integration
Skills and Experience
- Senior leader with a track record of scaling commerce or media delivery functions
- Strong expertise in retail media activation and platform execution
- Experience building operating models, standards, and scalable systems
- Highly structured, with a focus on execution excellence and consistency
- Able to translate strategy into practical, high-performing delivery
- Credible in senior client environments, particularly on performance and execution
