The Director of Commerce Partnerships, Europe is a critical leadership role within the Commerce organisation, reporting to the Senior Director, Global Commerce Partnerships, based in the US. This individual will lead the strategy, growth, and execution of Condé Nast's Commerce Partnerships business across Europe, with responsibility for the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

The role is accountable for driving significant revenue growth across the European commerce partnerships business while leading and developing regional teams in each market. As the internal and external champion for one of the company's fastest-growing revenue streams, this leader will partner closely with editorial brands leads for Vogue, GQ, Conde Nast Traveller, etc., commercial advertising, product, analytics, and global commerce teams to scale innovative partnership solutions that deliver value for both merchant partners and Condé Nast brands.

This highly collaborative position will partner with the central commerce team to establish a cohesive regional strategy while empowering local market expertise, ensuring consistency in best practices, commercial excellence, and operational execution across Europe.

  • Own and lead the European Commerce Partnerships business across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with accountability for regional revenue growth and long-term business performance.
  • In partnership with the central Commerce Partnerships team, develop and execute the strategic roadmap to accelerate Commerce Partnerships revenue across Europe, identifying new opportunities for growth across all markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of regional partnership leaders, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and commercial excellence across markets.
  • Serve as the primary internal and external advocate for the European Commerce Partnerships business, representing Condé Nast with both senior partnerships contacts and internal senior leadership teams.
  • Partner closely with central Commerce leadership and regional stakeholders to align European priorities with the broader commerce strategy.
  • Collaborate with Revenue teams to develop scalable partnership offerings, from bespoke strategic programs to standardised solutions that can be deployed efficiently across multiple markets.
  • Identify emerging partnership opportunities based on market trends, competitive benchmarking, merchant needs, and regional insights.
  • Drive business development efforts to secure new merchant relationships while expanding existing strategic partnerships already in place.
  • Expand and foster external relationships with regional affiliate networks and other strategic B2B relationships as business needs shift.
  • Partner closely with Editorial, Brand Leads, Sales, Product, Data & Analytics, and Performance Marketing teams to deliver integrated, full-funnel commerce programs.
  • Establish consistent operating models, commercial processes, reporting standards, and best practices across all European markets while allowing for local market flexibility.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to develop actionable reporting, performance insights, forecasting, and optimisation strategies.
  • Own regional forecasting, budgeting, and business planning, providing regular performance updates and recommendations to senior leadership & central commerce team.
  • Ensure operational excellence throughout the partnership lifecycle, including onboarding, execution, optimisation, and long-term account growth.
  • Champion innovation across the European partnerships business by identifying new commercial models, technologies, and partnership opportunities that strengthen Condé Nast's commerce offering for the next phase of growth.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in commerce, e-commerce, affiliate marketing, digital partnerships, or business development.
  • Proven track record of building and growing high-performing revenue businesses with responsibility for ambitious commercial targets.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams, with 5+ years of people leadership preferred.
  • B2B sales experience and existing relationships preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the European retail, affiliate, and commerce ecosystem, including market nuances across the UK + Europe.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Experience developing cross-functional strategies and driving alignment across multiple business units and international teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and long-range business planning.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to leverage data and market insights to prioritise opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrix global organisation.
