Director, Commercial & Partnerships
Collateral | Liquidity | Digital Assets
London, hybrid, c.2 days in office
Circa £150,000 + bonus with commercial upside
This is a growth-stage fintech whose platforms are already live with major banks and market infrastructures, helping them use collateral and liquidity more efficiently and settle faster. Following fresh investment and new strategic partnerships with leading market operators, they're appointing a small group of senior hires to turn proven technology into broad industry adoption.
What you'll be doing
- Leading growth across one of the core areas (collateral, liquidity, or risk and digital assets) and working alongside a strategic partner to win and grow anchor institutions
- Running the front end of complex, multi-party opportunities: finding the problem, designing the solution, building the business case and helping see it through to contract
- Shaping pricing, commercial models and joint go-to-market plans with partners, and removing the obstacles that stop institutions joining
- Overseeing onboarding and early adoption, then staying close to clients afterwards to deepen usage and expand the relationship
- Feeding clear, well-reasoned requirements into product and engineering, so client demand becomes capability that scales
- Representing the business at industry forums and building a credible voice in the market
- Mentoring colleagues and contributing beyond your own remit as the business scales

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll bring
- Hands-on experience in wholesale markets, ideally on the buy-side. A firm serving the buy-side (custody, fund administration, collateral services, market infrastructure or fintech) is also highly relevant
- Strong working knowledge of post-trade: collateral, treasury, liquidity, clearing, payments or settlement
- A track record of moving complex initiatives forward across multiple institutions and senior decision-makers
- Sound commercial judgement: you can link a client's outcome to the proposition, price, contract and cost of delivery
- Experience taking solutions from discovery through implementation and adoption
- Clear communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics for senior audiences
- Exposure to tokenisation or digital assets is a real plus, particularly alongside collateral
- Background in a small-to-mid-sized fintech or a multi-party network or utility is a strong advantage
