Job Description

Paysafe is a global payments platform powering the experience economy, with a strong focus on the iGaming, video gaming, e-commerce, retail, travel, and hospitality sectors. With 30 years of expertise in payment technology, Paysafe helps businesses and consumers lift every experience through seamless, secure payment solutions, including card payments, digital wallets such as Skrill, eCash solutions like PaysafeCard, and a suite of local payment methods. With approximately 2,900 employees across 12 countries and annualized transactional volume of $167 billion in 2025, Paysafe connects people and businesses worldwide through innovative digital payment experiences.

It Starts Here. Have a Global Impact on the World of Payments.

We are seeking a Director, Consumer Risk Decision Strategy to lead fraud and AML/CTF decisioning across Paysafe’s global Consumer portfolios, including Skrill, NETELLER, paysafecard, and other eCash and digital wallet products.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of Consumer Risk at Paysafe, build leadership capability across the function, and play a key role in developing the next generation of risk leaders.

It is a strategic leadership role requiring strong technical credibility. You will lead a specialist team, own the effectiveness of production decision strategies, and help Paysafe make better use of machine-learning models and well-designed rules. Your objective will be to keep fraud and loss within appetite while reducing unnecessary declines and avoidable customer friction.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Own Consumer fraud and AML/CTF decision strategies from initial risk assessment through to design, implementation, governance, and production performance.
  • Establish a model-led approach to risk decisioning, using rules where they provide necessary or demonstrable additional value.
  • Act as an authoritative and constructive customer of Data Science, defining risk problems, setting performance expectations, and challenging model outcomes.
  • Determine appropriate model operating points and assess trade-offs between fraud detection, loss, false positives, customer friction, and operational workload.
  • Simplify the existing decisioning estate by removing ineffective, duplicative, or over-specific rules, aggregations, and metrics.
  • Lead the Consumer Risk strategy for the migration of new portfolios to our core risk engine, ensuring effective production outcomes and using telemetry inputs efficiently.
  • Work with Compliance to translate AML/CTF obligations and required scenarios into effective controls, prioritizing competing requirements transparently.
  • Deliver appropriate Risk Systems strategies for new products required to support our global Product team.
  • Lead and develop a team of 6-12 specialist analysts, remaining technically hands-on when needed.
  • Establish clear priorities, quality standards, development plans, and succession arrangements, while building stronger Fraud and AML leadership in the team.
  • Act as strategic Supplier Relationship Owner for key risk platforms, including Feedzai, ThreatMetrix, and Jumio, with responsibility for supplier performance, roadmaps, renewals, and senior escalations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
