ABOUT We.

As part of one of the largest independent strategic communications agencies in the world — with 22 offices globally and more than 1,100 people — our UK team brings together deep sector expertise, diverse thinking and creative problem-solving to help brands lead through complexity. With roots in technology, innovation and societal change, we’ve spent decades at the intersection of technology and humanity — bridging the gap between what businesses create and how people experience those creations.

In a world defined by relentless change — from rising expectations and widening inequalities to disruptive technology and constant noise — even the strongest organisations can struggle to be heard. That’s where We. comes in. What sets us apart isn’t just what we do, but how we do it. We thrive where disciplines intersect — when social impact meets youth engagement, technology meets science, or corporate reputation meets health — and our teams are designed deliberately with this in mind.

For 40 years, We. has shown the power of working together. In the UK, we carry that spirit forward every day — challenging assumptions, applying innovation and helping organisations find clarity, relevance and growth in an ever-evolving world.

When you join We., you will find compelling work, global partnerships, worthwhile professional development, outstanding benefits and the opportunity to make a difference. We value those who share our belief in the power of change, discovery and innovation. We invest in our future by creating an open and welcoming workplace full of bright, skilled and determined people.

In London, We. is committed to a hybrid working model, supporting a working arrangement with at least two days in the office per week, Tuesday and Thursday. This approach enables us to nurture a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and inclusivity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an ambitious, intellectually curious and hands-on Corporate Communications Director to join our growing UK Corporate team.

We. is entering an exciting next phase of its Corporate Communications growth. We advise organisations and leaders navigating complexity, transformation and scrutiny, helping them strengthen reputation and build trust, influence and visibility with the stakeholders that matter.

Our ambition is to combine the strategic depth and senior counsel of a specialist Corporate Affairs consultancy with the modern communications capabilities of an integrated global agency. This role will be central to that ambition.

We are looking for someone with strong Corporate Affairs instincts and particular depth in corporate reputation, executive positioning, issues management and strategic communications. You will be comfortable advising senior clients on complex reputational challenges, but equally willing to get into the work: interrogating a brief, shaping the strategy, developing messaging, spotting the story, reviewing copy or helping a team navigate a fast-moving issue.

You will lead important client relationships and programmes, raise the strategic standard of our Corporate work and help us build deeper expertise across the team.

You will also play an active role in growth. That means identifying opportunities within existing clients, contributing to and leading new business pitches, developing relationships with prospects and helping turn our Corporate expertise and intellectual property into compelling reasons for clients to work with We.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to help continue to build, not simply inherit, a Corporate practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Reputation & Strategic Advisory

  • Provide clear, confident and well-informed strategic counsel to senior clients on corporate reputation, stakeholder and communications challenges.
  • Help organisations navigate complex moments including transformation, scrutiny, changing stakeholder expectations and reputational risk.
  • Lead the development of corporate reputation strategies, positioning, messaging and integrated communications programmes.
  • Bring strong issues management instincts, helping clients anticipate emerging reputational challenges and determine appropriate communications responses.
  • Understand the wider business, political, cultural and media environment in which clients operate and translate this into relevant advice.
  • Apply strong judgement to complex and sometimes ambiguous situations, helping clients understand what they can communicate and what they should do.
  • Bring an informed point of view and constructively challenge clients and colleagues when it will lead to better outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
