Shape policy. Strengthen relationships. Advance our global interests.
We are seeking an experienced and influential Corporate Affairs Director to lead our global corporate affairs agenda: navigating complex regulatory and political environments, translating emerging developments into clear business implications, and representing the organisation with credibility and impact.
Acting as the central point of contact for corporate affairs matters, you will work closely with senior leaders to anticipate emerging policy challenges, shape the organisation’s response and advance the interests of the WG&S Group with key external stakeholders. These will include trade associations, social responsibility organisations, government representatives and policy makers.
What you will do
As Corporate Affairs Director, you will:
- Shape and deliver a global corporate affairs strategy that advances the organisation’s commercial objectives and strengthens its position in key markets.
- Influence policy and regulatory developments by building trusted relationships with trade associations, industry bodies and other external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on emerging legislative, regulatory and reputational risks and opportunities, ensuring informed business decision-making.
- Protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation and licence to operate by leading advocacy efforts and supporting responsible business and social responsibility initiatives.
- Establish a coordinated and effective corporate affairs capability by aligning stakeholders, driving consistent positions across markets and contributing to the leadership and development of the wider Legal and Corporate Affairs function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
