Director – Corporate Communications & Reputation
Location: London (Hybrid)
Company: Lexington Communications
Job Details
Lexington is a leading independent strategic communications and public affairs consultancy. We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Director to play a senior leadership role in our Corporate Communications & Reputation team, helping to strengthen and grow our UK business while expanding our international communications capabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications leader with a strong track record in corporate reputation, integrated communications, and business development. We are looking for someone who can provide outstanding strategic counsel to UK clients, build and grow senior relationships, and bring the experience and networks to deliver sophisticated communications programmes across international markets, particularly the US.
Our Corporate Communications & Reputation team works with organisations across a range of sectors, helping them build, protect and enhance their reputations in an increasingly complex media, political, and stakeholder environment. We combine strategic insight, creative thinking, and an understanding of the issues shaping business and society to help clients tell compelling stories, navigate challenges, and engage the audiences that matter.
As part of the team, you will help shape the next phase of our corporate communications offer, working with UK and international clients on challenges ranging from corporate positioning and reputation management to thought leadership, issues management, and integrated communications campaigns.
About the Role
As a Director, you will sit on the agency’s Senior Leadership Team, and play a central role in the leadership and growth of our Corporate Communications & Reputation practice, combining responsibility for developing our UK client base and capabilities with helping to build our international communications offer.
You will be a trusted adviser to senior clients, providing high-quality strategic counsel on complex corporate communications and reputation challenges. You will lead integrated communications programmes, develop and grow client relationships, and help identify new opportunities across sectors and markets.
A key part of the role will be strengthening our position in the UK market, bringing fresh thinking, strong media and industry relationships, and the commercial drive to develop new business. Alongside this, you will draw on your international experience to advise clients with cross-border communications needs, build relationships with international partners, and support the delivery of multi-market campaigns, particularly those involving the US, EMEA, and APAC.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
