We are currently working with a global data centre developer who are looking to appoint a Corporate Development Director to support their continued growth across Europe and APAC.

This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for originating, evaluating, negotiating and executing large-scale land and infrastructure acquisition opportunities, with a particular focus on the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands and Japan.

You will take ownership of opportunities from initial origination through site assessment, due diligence, investment approval, negotiation and acquisition, working closely with internal Real Estate, Engineering, Development, Power, Legal, Finance and Delivery teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure, energy, real estate or development professional looking to take on a high-profile role within a rapidly growing global data centre business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and develop a pipeline of strategic land and infrastructure opportunities across Europe and APAC.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, utilities, municipalities, government agencies, investors and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead the full acquisition process from initial opportunity through to signing, closing and handover.
  • Evaluate opportunities across land, planning, permitting, power, connectivity, environmental constraints, development feasibility and commercial returns.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical, commercial, financial, legal and planning due diligence.
  • Develop investment cases, financial analysis and acquisition recommendations for senior leadership and investment committees.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with landowners, developers and other counterparties.
  • Negotiate Heads of Terms, exclusivity agreements, options, purchase agreements, easements and associated transaction documentation.
  • Work closely with internal Legal and external advisors throughout transaction execution.
  • Develop and implement market-entry and land acquisition strategies across target markets.
  • Monitor market activity, infrastructure developments and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure successful handover of approved acquisitions to the wider Real Estate and Delivery teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
