Corporate Finance Director

Eton Bridge Partners have been retained on a confidential search to appoint a Corporate Finance Director for a high-growth, private equity-backed technology business.

This role reports directly into the Group Chief Financial Officer and will lead corporate finance, FP&A, strategic planning, shareholder reporting and finance transformation activities across the Group. The position is a critical hire within the finance leadership team, supporting the organisation’s growth agenda, transaction readiness and long-term value creation strategy.

We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically strong finance leader with deep experience across FP&A, corporate finance and strategic financial planning. You will bring exceptional financial modelling capability, a track record of delivering Board, shareholder and lender reporting, and experience supporting financing and M&A activity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the financial planning, analysis and insight activities for the group, and build and develop a best-in-class FP&A function, including organisational design, capability assessment and team development.
  • Own and develop a fully integrated group-wide financial model, linking the P&L, balance sheet and cashflow with complete double-entry integrity and embedded validation controls.
  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategy, including capital structure optimisation, funding solutions and long term liquidity planning aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Support debt and equity funding activities, refinancing initiatives and lender engagement, including the preparation of lender information packs, financial models, due diligence materials and ongoing relationship management with lenders, investors and credit rating agencies.
  • Support capital allocation decisions, investment appraisal and strategic financial analysis to drive value creation.
  • Lead financial input into M&A, restructuring and strategic transactions, providing financial analysis and due diligence from initial screening through to post-acquisition integration and ensuring the CFO, Board and shareholders are fully informed throughout the process.
  • Model acquisition scenarios for target companies and the combined organisation, analysing synergies, integration requirements, and financing structures.
  • Partner closely with the CFO, Board and shareholders, providing insight and recommendations on financing strategy and balance sheet sustainability.
  • Contribute as a key member of the finance leadership team, supporting broader finance transformation and performance improvement initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
