Boldspace is a brand building and reputation agency. We bring together advertising, marketing and PR through a pioneering approach — fusing our agentic AI & analytics platform Boldstream™ with the finest strategic and creative minds to see more, create better and find the gap.
Since our launch just over 6 years ago, we have grown to over 50 permanent employees, won a multitude of awards and broken well in to the PR100. Our unique formula of strategy and creativity powered by cutting-edge technology has been a highly attractive proposition for hundreds of clients, including The Post Office, Lovehoney, Boylesports, LHH, The Perfume Shop, Volvo, Playmobil and more.
THE ROLE
The Director will be a senior leader within the agency, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of strategic client relationships while driving agency growth, commercial performance and team excellence. You will be accountable for ensuring outstanding client outcomes, developing senior talent, and shaping the strategic direction of the agency alongside the leadership team.
- You will play a pivotal role in growing the agency's reputation, identifying new opportunities for clients and the business, and championing best practice across our corporate practice
- Act as a trusted strategic adviser to senior client stakeholders, providing counsel that strengthens long-term partnerships and positions the agency as an indispensable communications partner.
- Lead the agency's most significant client relationships, taking overall responsibility for client satisfaction, commercial performance, retention and growth.
- Oversee a portfolio of accounts across multiple sectors, ensuring consistently exceptional standards of strategic thinking, creativity and execution.
- Lead and inspire high-performing teams, coaching senior colleagues and creating an environment where talent thrives and develops.
- Play a key role in shaping agency strategy, contributing to operational improvements, service development and long-term business planning.
- Lead complex, high-value new business opportunities from identification through to pitch and conversion, bringing together expertise from across the agency to create compelling propositions.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships through strategic counsel and integrated communications services.
- Take ownership of commercial performance across your client portfolio, ensuring profitability, resource planning, forecasting and proactive scope management.
- Champion innovation, creativity and integrated thinking across the agency, continually raising the quality of work and the value delivered to clients.
- Represent the agency externally, building its profile through industry networks, thought leadership and senior-level relationships.

Strategic leadership
You are a highly credible communications leader who can advise CEOs, founders, boards and executive teams on complex communications challenges. You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and helping shape business decisions through strategic communications counsel.
Commercial acumen
You understand what makes a successful agency beyond excellent client work. You are experienced in growing client relationships, resource planning, and identifying new commercial opportunities.
Agency leadership
You enjoy building businesses as much as delivering outstanding client work. You lead by example, contribute to agency culture and operations, and actively shape how the agency evolves.
Business development
You have an exceptional track record of winning new business. Whether originating opportunities through your own network or leading competitive pitches, you are confident developing compelling propositions that convert.
Multi-sector expertise
You bring broad experience across multiple sectors and are excited by the diversity this creates. You can quickly understand new industries and apply communications expertise to a wide variety of business challenges.
Corporate and B2B communications
You have significant experience advising organisations on corporate communications, reputation management, executive profiling, issues management and strategic communications planning, alongside delivering integrated B2B campaigns.
Integrated communications
You understand that modern communications extends far beyond media relations. You know how earned, owned, social, digital, creative and content disciplines work together to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Senior media expertise
You possess extensive knowledge of today's media landscape and understand how to secure influence through traditional media, digital platforms and emerging channels. You know when media relations is the right solution—and when it isn't.
Leadership and coaching
You have a proven ability to develop senior talent, build high-performing teams and create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. You enjoy mentoring future leaders and helping people fulfil their potential.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years' experience in a corporate communications agency environment, with a proven track record leading complex client portfolios.
- Extensive experience advising senior client stakeholders, including CEOs, founders, executive leadership teams and boards.
- Demonstrable success in winning significant new business and growing existing client relationships.
- Proven commercial management experience, including responsibility for profitability, forecasting, resource planning and account growth.
- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing senior talent into future leaders.
- Extensive experience delivering integrated communications programmes across multiple sectors.
- Established media knowledge, strong industry relationships and a proven track record of delivering high-impact campaigns.
- Confident, polished presenter with experience pitching to senior decision-makers and representing an agency at the highest level.
- A deep understanding of the communications industry, emerging trends and how agencies create competitive advantage.
