About the Job You Are Considering

Capgemini’s Insights & Data practice helps leading organizations harness data to drive innovation, efficiency, and transformation. With a focus on AI and analytics, we deliver measurable impact across industries. You’ll join a purpose-driven, inclusive team working with cutting-edge technologies in a global, agile environment — with strong support for career growth, learning, and making a difference.

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

As Director - Data as a Product Strategy & GTM Lead, you will shape and commercialise industry-focused Data & AI propositions for Banking and Financial Services clients. You will define the Data-as-a-Product vision and go-to-market strategy, help clients turn trusted data assets into reusable products, and connect data investment directly to measurable business outcomes across growth, customer experience, risk, compliance and operational transformation.

You will combine deep banking domain knowledge, product thinking and consulting leadership to create differentiated offerings, engage senior client stakeholders and accelerate market demand. Working across strategy, industry, sales, engineering, cloud and partner teams, you will take propositions from market insight and business case through solution design, launch and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Data-as-a-Product, data product operating model and data monetisation strategies for Banking and Financial Services clients.
  • Develop industry-led go-to-market plans, value propositions and repeatable solution offerings across Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Payments, Risk, Financial Crime and Compliance.
  • Lead the creation, incubation and launch of data and AI products using modern cloud data platforms, analytics and AI capabilities.
  • Advise C-suite and senior business, data and technology leaders on data transformation roadmaps, investment priorities, operating models and value-led business cases.
  • Translate client challenges into scalable propositions that improve customer insight, enable responsible data sharing and monetisation, strengthen risk management and accelerate digital transformation.
  • Drive market development, pipeline growth and strategic pursuits, shaping large and complex Data & AI opportunities from origination through proposal and commercial close.
  • Build strategic alliances and co-innovation opportunities with hyperscalers, data platform providers and ecosystem partners.
  • Create market-facing thought leadership and strengthen the practice point of view across Banking Data, AI, Analytics, Data Products and Regulatory Data Management.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to multidisciplinary consulting and engineering teams, helping build capability, propositions and reusable intellectual property.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
