Debt Advisory Director
£115,000 to £150,000 plus bonus
Most senior Debt Advisory roles give you one of two things, an established platform or the freedom to shape the business. This offers both.
The firm already has a strong national advisory platform, an established Debt Advisory practice and access to lower mid-market opportunities through Corporate Finance, restructuring and its wider client network.
What it needs now is another senior originator in London.
This is a growth appointment for someone who can win and lead leveraged finance work across PE backed and corporate clients. You will have an established platform and a strong flow of referrals from across the wider firm.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The work is mainly lower mid-market, with a flow of acquisition finance, refinancing and other leveraged debt assignments. There is an established PE client base, although someone with strong direct corporate relationships could add another valuable route to market.
This could suit a Director or Senior Director who is already originating successfully but can see limited room to progress where they are.
A senior leveraged finance banker could also be considered, provided you have the relationships, commercial appetite and credibility to build an advisory pipeline.
You will need:
- Strong leveraged finance experience
- Evidence that you can originate and convert work
- Relationships across PE, lenders, advisers and corporates
- Credibility in the lower mid-market
- The ability to lead client relationships and transactions
- A collaborative approach to sharing opportunities and building across service lines
