About The Role

This is a high-impact opportunity to join Liberty Blume Specialty Finance as Director, Distribution and Funder Engagement, helping to accelerate our growth across the US, UK and Europe. You will connect client financing needs with the right banks, funds and non-bank investors, building partnerships that support working capital and structured finance transactions. We are open to hiring in London or Denver. London-based colleagues will need flexibility to work US hours when required, while Denver-based colleagues will need flexibility to work UK hours when required.

You will lead funder engagement from initial outreach through to onboarding and deal closure, using your market knowledge and existing relationships to identify the right partners for each opportunity. Working closely with origination and product colleagues, you will shape compelling financing opportunities, navigate investor requirements and help build long-term relationships that support our continued expansion.

What will you be doing?

  • Build and develop relationships with banks, funds, non-bank investors and other financing partners across the US, UK and Europe
  • Identify suitable funders for working capital and structured finance opportunities, assessing their risk appetite and return expectations
  • Lead discussions with potential funding partners from initial engagement through to onboarding and deal closure
  • Pitch opportunities alongside origination and product colleagues, helping to shape transactions around client and investor need
  • Provide market intelligence on established providers, new entrants and strategic developments across the working capital financing market
  • Represent Liberty Blume Specialty Finance in meetings with clients, funding partners and internal stakeholders across the US, UK and Europe

We Tend To Look For People With

Essential skills and abilities:

  • Relevant years experience in structured finance, corporate finance or transactional banking
  • Relevant years of experience in working capital financing distribution
  • An established network of relevant funding partners, including non-bank investors
  • Experience of the US funding landscape and managing relationships with US funding institutions
  • The ability to assess funder needs and lead discussions through to deal closure

Desirable Skills And Abilities

  • Broader experience within structured finance
  • Experience of project financing
  • Knowledge of supply chain finance, securitisation or receivables finance products
  • Experience supporting transactions involving sub-investment grade organisations
  • Experience working across international markets and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams
