Is this the role for you?
At Paramount Pictures, we bring the world's biggest stories to audiences across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As Director, Theatrical Distribution EMEA, you'll shape and drive the theatrical distribution strategy for our film releases across a wide portfolio of territories — owning commercial performance and market management from launch through to long-term success.
You'll be the connection point between our headquarters, regional teams, local distributors and licensees, exhibitors and partners — working to maximise box office performance, sharpen release strategies and deliver profitable growth across the region. It's a role that blends commercial leadership, strategic planning, analytics, business development and stakeholder management, with a hand in marketing strategy, forecasting and territory planning across the EMEA network.
What will you be doing?
Territory and distribution leadership
- Oversee theatrical distribution across your assigned EMEA territories — including Albania, Bulgaria, the CIS markets, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine — ensuring strong launches and lasting commercial performance
- Build and maintain relationships with regional distributors, licensees, exhibitors and strategic partners
- Lead negotiations and support key commercial decisions on theatrical releases and market opportunities
- Evaluate distribution opportunities, partnerships and business-development initiatives across the region.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
