About the Role
The Enterprise Strategy team sits within Consulting and focuses on operating model design, large-scale transformation, and value realisation for clients across the Consumer Markets sector - including retail, FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods, leisure, and hospitality businesses. We help organisations navigate complexity, redesign how they operate, and deliver transformation programmes that drive measurable performance improvement.
We are a highly motivated, collaborative, and diverse team with deep expertise across consumer-facing industries, commercial operations, supply chain, and technology-enabled change. Our work spans target operating model design and implementation, organisational and process redesign, commercial and supply chain transformation, cost reduction, governance improvement, and benefits realisation. We help consumer markets clients simplify ways of working, improve end-to-end supply chain performance, strengthen commercial capability, and support sustainable growth.
This is an opportunity to join a growing Consumer Markets team working with clients facing rapid change driven by shifting consumer behaviours, margin pressure, digital disruption, sustainability demands, and evolving channel strategies. As a Director, you will provide strategic direction, commercial leadership, and operational oversight to drive profitable growth, high-quality delivery, and market differentiation. You will lead and scale the Enterprise Strategy capability within Consumer Markets - setting the direction for our team, leading complex multi-workstream engagements, developing senior client relationships, and coaching future leaders. The role works closely with Partners, Managing Directors, and leaders across Consulting to unlock market opportunities and build a distinctive, market-leading proposition.
What Your Days Will Look Like
You will work with leading consumer markets organisations in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, providing strategic direction and senior leadership to help design and implement new ways of working at scale. The role involves setting the strategic agenda for engagements, leading senior client relationships, overseeing complex multi-workstream delivery, and driving growth of our Enterprise Strategy capability across Consumer Markets.
You will lead our team to deliver a range of assignments including:

- Leading and shaping enterprise-wide transformations, with a particular focus on commercial, supply chain, and technology functions - including pricing, route-to-market, demand planning, sourcing, logistics, and fulfilment.
- Shaping and directing AI and agentic transformation initiatives, helping consumer markets clients identify high-value use cases, design target operating models that embed AI and agentic capabilities, and realise value from intelligent automation across commercial and supply chain functions.
- Providing senior oversight of programme delivery, including planning, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, value realisation, and benefits tracking - ensuring transformation programmes deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes with accountability at board level.
- Leading and quality-assuring the preparation of analysis, reports, SteerCo materials, and recommendations - presenting directly to C-suite and board-level client stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
