Quality & HSE Director

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading international manufacturing organisation in Lancashire to recruit a Quality & HSE Director.
This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for designing, implementing and embedding a globally consistent Integrated Management System (IMS) across multiple international operations. The successful candidate will drive quality, health, safety and environmental excellence while leading the implementation of key ISO frameworks and establishing a culture of continuous improvement across the Group.
Responsibilities of the Quality & HSE Director:
- Lead and develop the Group SHEQ function, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Provide direct leadership and support to the UK Quality and Health & Safety teams.
- Design, build and implement a single, globally aligned Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Drive the implementation, certification and continual improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Establish and embed consistent Group-wide HSE standards, policies and performance measures.
- Ensure products are manufactured, tested and released in compliance with customer requirements, industry standards and regulatory specifications.
- Lead investigations into non-conforming products, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and regulatory compliance across all sites.

We are keen to speak with Quality & HSE Directors with the following:


Get help with your application

- Degree qualification in Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Chartered status or recognised professional accreditation in Quality, Health & Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior Quality and/or HSE leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Integrated Management Systems.
- Experience leading organisational change and driving the adoption of best practice across multiple sites.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational delivery and long-term business objectives.
