Director, Finance Systems
Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
The Director, Finance Systems will lead the strategy, architecture, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the systems and technology that enable Finance to operate effectively at scale. This leader will partner across Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Operations, IT, HR, and other business functions to build an integrated, automated, and data-driven Finance technology ecosystem - ensuring we are using the right tools and workflows, leveraging automation and AI where appropriate, to operate lean without sacrificing rigor. This role is ideal for a finance-minded technology leader who understands that great systems are not simply implementations—they are the foundation for scalable processes, reliable data, strong controls, faster decisions, and an increasingly AI-enabled Finance organization.
This role is remote, based out of North America.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You are energized by complexity and ambiguity. Rather than simply automating existing processes, you challenge how work should be performed and use technology, workflow automation, analytics, and AI to simplify and redesign Finance operations.
You have 10+ years of experience across Finance Systems, Accounting Systems, Finance Transformation, Enterprise Applications, or related disciplines, including 5+ years leading teams, major systems programs, or enterprise transformation initiatives. Experience in technology, semiconductor, hardware, manufacturing, AI infrastructure, or another complex global operating environment is highly desirable.
What We Need
- Build and lead the Finance Systems strategy and operating model, creating a scalable technology foundation that supports rapid company growth, increasing transaction volumes, global expansion, and increasingly sophisticated commercial and operational requirements.
- Own the Finance functional architecture and roadmap for the company’s ERP and related financial systems. Bring experience with enterprise ERP and financial platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or equivalent platforms, as well as integrations with HR, payroll, procurement, banking, tax, planning, CRM, supply chain, and operational systems.
- Partner with Finance leaders to redesign processes before automating them. Lead automation and transformation across record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, revenue accounting, inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, treasury and banking, tax, payroll accounting, financial planning and forecasting, and management and financial reporting.
- Develop an AI-forward Finance roadmap and a reliable Finance data architecture. Identify practical applications for generative AI, agents, intelligent workflow, anomaly detection, automated reconciliation, and predictive analytics. Partner with Data and Analytics teams to ensure Finance data is accurate, accessible, traceable, and useful for decision-making.
- Embed financial controls into system design and business workflows. Lead complex cross-functional Finance technology and transformation programs from business case through implementation and adoption, communicate strategy and investment requirements to senior leadership, and build a high-performing Finance Systems organization focused on simplification, automation, continuous improvement, customer experience, and measurable business outcomes.

- How to apply AI and automation directly to Finance workflows, moving beyond traditional ERP-centric Finance architectures.
- How to develop a Finance Systems function that operates like a product and technology organization while defining what a modern, AI-enabled Finance organization should look like.
