Director, Financial Control - EMEA

Alexander Daniels are excited to be working on an exclusive and retained basis to support this well-known international consumer products business in the search for a Director of Financial Control - EMEA.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, driving change, and partnering with the wider business to make things happen.

Reporting into the VP Finance EMEA, you'll take ownership of financial control across the region, ensuring robust reporting, strong governance, and continuous improvement across a complex international operation.

This is one of those positions that offers genuine influence. You'll be a key member of the EMEA finance leadership team, leading critical finance operations while helping shape the future direction of the function. The business is investing in systems, automation, and growth, making it an exciting time to join.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the EMEA financial control function and developing a talented finance team.
  • Owning month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, SOX, and local statutory requirements.
  • Managing external audits and statutory reporting across multiple countries.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and HR.
  • Driving automation, process improvements, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Supporting business decisions through insightful financial leadership and strong commercial awareness.

What we're looking for

You'll likely be a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Director, or similar, with experience operating in a complex international environment.

You'll ideally bring:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, US GAAP, and control frameworks.
  • A track record of leading and developing successful finance teams.
  • Experience improving processes, implementing change, and driving operational excellence.
  • Background within consumer products, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or similarly fast-paced environments.
