Job Description

This is a high-profile role, managing a cross-geographical team of FP&A professionals, and partnering with the Global Fertility Commercial Leadership Team. Success in this role requires a solid business acumen, intellectual curiosity, an ability to navigate a geographically diverse business environment and a creative approach to problem solving.

The position will be accountable for the overall financial leadership of the Fertility Commercial Organization supporting a multitude of teams under that umbrella. The Director will work in conjunction with the Commercial Organization to deliver monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and operating expense commitments, drive profitable revenue growth, improve contribution margins and improve financial returns on investments. In addition, this position helps determine pricing actions, product profitability and ensures a good control environment.

Location: Fareham, UK and Hybrid

Responsibilities

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Partner with the EVP of Global Fertility and the Fertility Leadership Team to provide dedicated FP&A leadership for the Commercial Fertility business segment
  • Manage a team of seven FP&A professionals in different locations who support the regional VPs and global functional heads within Fertility
  • Drive the annual budget, quarterly forecast and monthly variance explanation processes
  • Primary responsibility for business reviews and presenting financial information to the Division President and Leadership Team
  • Support proactive analysis of actuals results, provide recommendations/contingency plans to meet financial commitments and lead the quarterly business review
  • Drive and support the cash flow forecast, understanding variances and driving improvement initiatives
  • Oversee financial modelling to support strategic initiatives, new product introductions as well as business cases to evaluate new propositions and proposals
  • Ensure FP&A processes are consistent with corporate guidance, internal controls, and best practices
  • Operate with a mindset of continual improvement
  • Deliver frequent performance reporting to the President, Leadership team and at times to the Executive team at HQ
  • Promote understanding throughout the Fertility organization of the financial impact and commercial/clinical drivers of business decisions and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate recording of accounting entries
  • Be an integral part of the Global FP&A Team and lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives

Experience:

  • Previous Director level experience working within a global matrix organization
  • Minimum of 12+ years of progressive financial experience, preferably with a background in business planning and/or financial analysis experience
  • Background of working within international businesses, and in a role with a focus across multiple countries
  • Ability to cope with ambiguity within the role is an absolute necessity
  • Previous exposure to transformation programs would be useful

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in financial discipline. MBA and/or CPA preferred but not essential.
