Fire & Life Safety Director | Global Specialist Consultancy | Senior Leadership Opportunity

London/Manchester/Edinburgh

Are you a senior Fire & Life Safety professional ready to take on a strategic leadership role with an award-winning international consultancy?

We’re working with a globally recognised Specialist Consultancy, Engineering & Advisory firm that is continuing to grow its Fire & Life Safety offering across international markets.

They are now looking for an experienced Fire & Life Safety Director to provide technical leadership, drive business growth and help shape the future direction of the division.

The Opportunity

This is a senior-level position combining technical leadership, project delivery, client management, business development and strategic growth.

You’ll play a key role in:

  • Leading the successful delivery of complex Fire & Life Safety projects
  • Providing senior technical direction and acting as a subject matter expert
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with high-profile clients
  • Supporting the strategic growth and expansion of the Fire & Life Safety offering
  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, consultants and technical specialists
  • Overseeing technical quality, project delivery and QA/QC standards
  • Supporting commercial performance, resourcing and financial management
  • Representing the business at industry events, conferences and seminars
  • Developing innovative solutions and helping shape industry best practice
  • Working closely with Divisional and Executive Leadership on long-term strategy

What we're looking for

We’re looking for an established Fire & Life Safety leader with:

  • 15+ years’ professional experience within a relevant industry
  • 8+ years’ management/leadership experience, ideally leading technical teams
  • A recognised Engineering degree, ideally MSc level or equivalent professional qualification
  • Chartered Engineer status with the IFE or equivalent (or currently working towards it)
  • Strong experience delivering complex, high-value projects
  • Proven commercial and business development capability
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • A strong reputation within the Fire & Life Safety industry

Experience managing projects valued at $10m+ and a recognised profile within the industry would be highly advantageous.
