Location: Central London

What You Will Get To Do:

We are looking for a Director to join our Fund Accounting department within our Private Markets team. Within this role you will be responsible for providing the accounting and reporting function for our growing private markets client base in London.

The successful candidate will be expected to have exceptional written and verbal communications skills, a proven ability to multi-task, and outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.

Here are some of key duties below:

  • Manage client deliverables and coordinate with different internal departments in multiple jurisdictions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain Private Equity client reporting calendars.
  • Plan and oversee preparation of NAV calculations, audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, management fee calculations, drawdowns, distributions and the underlying work papers.
  • Review and maintenance of general ledgers, sub ledgers and trial balances for multiple fund clients, according to various accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP/US GAAP/local GAAP).
  • Aggregation, maintenance and reconciliation of key business and client metrics.
  • Manage the year-end audit process, in collaboration with the clients and auditors.
  • Opportunity to work with a global team to develop private markets and associated services in EMEA.
  • Ability to implement new processes and technology to support new business initiatives, improve control and increase operating efficiency.
  • Opportunity to work alongside some of the largest global investment managers.
  • Networking and communicating across Private Markets and associated internal and external businesses; interacting with Risk & Controls, Legal, Implementations and Sales.

What You Will Bring:

  • Extensive experience within Fund Accounting, with a focus on Private Equity/Real Asset/Hybrid/Credit funds.
  • Excellent client relationship and project management skills
  • Strong team leadership, training, delegation and work review experience
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of private markets, net asset value calculations, investor reporting and capital activities.
  • Strong client service focus, including the ability to effectively respond to client needs.
  • Strong experience within Fund Administration and Private Markets.
  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA or similar)
