About Taawon UK

Taawon UK, the Welfare Association, is a UK-registered charity that supports transformative development projects and humanitarian relief interventions to empower and benefit Palestinian communities in Palestine and in refugee camps in Lebanon.

Taawon UK partners with Taawon, the largest Palestinian charity operating in the region, to support projects in education, health, development and cultural property protection. The projects are designed in consultation with local partners in response to the needs identified by Palestinian civil society and are implemented in collaboration with a network of local Palestinian organisations and international actors operating in the region.

Taawon UK is governed by a Board of Trustees.

Job Purpose

This is an exciting time for Taawon UK, as we are relaunching our mission in the UK to serve as a bridge between UK donors and Palestine, and to expand our donor base and programmes in Palestine. To fulfil this mission, we are seeking an expert fundraiser who can raise the charity’s public profile, represent Taawon UK in a range of fora, and act as our UK Director, overseeing the smooth day-to-day operation of the charity.

The ideal candidate will be an able fundraiser and a dedicated, empathetic leader who can manage and support our existing small, innovative, and dynamic team. This role is offered part-time, 4 days per week, with 2 days per week in our Central London office. We would encourage interested candidates with more flexible working requirements to make contact, as we are open to considering amendments for the right candidate.

  • With the Programmes Manager, prepare, submit, and present proposals to institutional donors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
