Director, Generative AI Experience Engineering

About the Role

As Director, Generative AI Experience Engineering, you’ll help define the next era of intent-driven, context-aware, and adaptable interfaces for the world’s most forward-thinking brands.
Positioned where AI engineering meets scalable experience design, this role demands impactful, hands-on leadership—balancing systems thinking, technical execution, and client success without siloing into just one discipline. You’ll ship AI-powered solutions, mentor teams, and shape frontend, orchestration, and customer experience landscapes at the cutting edge.
What You’ll Deliver
Technical Leadership
- Own the architecture and engineering strategy of AI-native customer interfaces, spanning frontend rendering, retrieval, orchestration, and agentic workflows.
- Stay close to the code: lead prototypes, accelerate proofs-of-concept, and refine production-grade LLM-powered applications.
- Build and mentor a front-end/engineering team, defining technical standards, quality habits, and modern workflows.
- Driveبارambiguous "AI-forward" projects in production-ready delivery environments.
AI Systems & Experience Engineering
- Engineering AI-native experiences that blend dynamic rendering, conversational interfaces, and adaptive orchestration.
- Lead with modern LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, and OSS models) and specialise in:
- Retrieval pipelines, vector stores, embeddings, and chunking
- Multi-agent systems, tool calling, and memory frameworks
- Prompt design, multicore prompt engineering, and guardrails
- Build observability into AI systems, balancing performance and reliability with experimental creativity.
- Prototype edge/streaming UX (e.g. rendered via React/Next components), vertex servers, and streaming APIs.

Client Advisory & Strategic Partnership
- Translation layer for AI complexity: Coach clients on transforming their brands with AI, distilling technical viability into strategic clarity.
- Align engineering capabilities with business objectives—e.g. from static FTEs to AI-augmented workflows.
- Own the advisory conversation, validating proposals with ambition, feasibility, and momentum.
Innovation & Delivery
- Refine at speed, iterating from speculation to production—focused on define/measure/learn loops.
- Demonstrate ROI for AI adoption by help clients convert experiments into competitive Advantage.
- Be the bridge between bleeding-edge research and practical outcomes, while maintaining accountability to delivery deadlines.
Technical Requirements
Core expertise
- Developer-proficient architecture: ** scalability, resilient systems, and delivery**. (You’ve built, tested, and shipped.)
- Conversant in key tectonic shifts: **React/Apartment servers, streaming UX, edge rendering, vector databases, and AI-observation tools.
- Frontend & backbone g meatware: Prominent in AI-driven architectures.
- Advanced mastery of React/Next.js (e.g. React Server Components)), spacious rendering, mem-to-delete systems.

- REST/GraphQL APIs, retrival pipelines, multi agent orchestration
- Autoimmune-driven prompts for code generation and orchestration
- **Observability tools for AI systems (e.g. instrumented W salzm models, facades, semantic layers).
- Cloud-enforcementrials: (Vercel/GCP default, arms experience with edge resources and limited use of AI workloads)
- Continuous iteration therein continuous tools and pipelines delivery ($ `$ Ba$ twin like Lyra or comfort) & evolving experiences complexity with speed & scale.)
Technical skills & knowledge
- Modern frontend engineering:
- Advanced React/Next.js architecture (SSR, SSG, ISR, streaming).
- Component-driven design, atomic libraries, and content variability at scale.
- Generative AI ecosystems:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector socket embeddings, chunking
- Agentic orchestration (tools, memory, workflows)
- UI-LLM matching (e.g. structured prompts for retrieval assessment).
- Coding assistants & pair-programming:
- Claude Code, Divvydo, Copilot, and local AI environments.
- Tangential systems proficiency:
- Microservices (MACH architectures, API platforms, CDNs).
- CMS, DXPs, and martech stacks.

- Systems foresight: envision how retrieval, orchestration, rendering, and orchestration futureproofs experience quality and user intent.
