Director – Global Mobility Services

We are looking for an experienced Director to join our Global Mobility Services (GMS) leadership team in the South (Reading or Bristol). GMS is a fundamental part of KPMG’s People Taxes practice and is currently enjoying accelerated growth and numerous exciting opportunities.

This is a high-profile market-facing leadership role, focused on delivering a strong pipeline across a varied large Corporates and National Markets client portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Extensive Global Mobility technical expertise to lead and oversee multiple and concurrent complex global mobility compliance and advisory projects, with the contribution of cross-service line specialists, as appropriate.
  • Drive origination / business development activity across the South Region and client portfolio, identifying opportunities to grow market share, strengthen client relationships, and create sustainable revenue growth working with existing Partner/Directors.
  • Lead senior client relationships (corporate and senior stakeholders/assignees) to deliver complex UK and global mobility engagements and advice across the client portfolio.
  • Accelerate collaboration across GMS, ES, and the wider People Tax practice, ensuring clients benefit from the full breadth of KPMG's capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain a credible and influential profile in the Global Mobility market and adapt business strategy in response to changing client demands and external trends.
  • Develop revenue growth plans for both existing and new clients.
  • Oversee commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement (e.g., fee proposals, budget, fee collection) and ensure these are managed effectively to achieve expected levels of quality and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key senior/board members of existing or new clients.
  • Network with clients and relevant professional bodies and associations.
  • Drive the continuous development of the team, ensuring the skills, knowledge, and capabilities required to meet current and future business needs.
  • Share deep knowledge of current market and competitor trends and activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
