About the Position

The Director of Global Talent Acquisition and Management will help in leading our talent acquisition and talent management functions.

Reporting directly to the SVP of People and Culture, the Director of Global Talent Acquisition and Management will drive our global talent strategy, ensuring we attract, develop, retain, and recognize top talent to in service of our organizational objectives and goals. They will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to create and implement innovative talent solutions that align with our mission and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Develop and implement a global talent acquisition strategy and streamlined process with the goal of attracting top talent who are aligned to our internal values and overall mission.
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the talent acquisition framework – including roles within the hiring team and HR team & train team members appropriately.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring the effective sourcing, attracting, and onboarding of top talent worldwide while delivering a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Directly manage the recruitment of key positions as identified by the SVP, P&C with minimal oversight.
  • Regularly audit and suggest improvements to our talent acquisition processes to ensure they are effective and aligning to industry best-practices.
  • Develop and promote the organization’s employer brand to attract a diverse talent pool leveraging website, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and social media tools, as applicable.

Talent Management

  • Support the workforce planning process as it relates to talent acquisition, providing guidance around hiring-timeframes, complexity, and prioritization; build a recruiting roadmap for the year to effectively meet hiring needs.
  • Responsible for consolidating and providing quarterly personnel updates to Finance for budget management purposes.
  • Partner with Sr. Director, P&C to manage internal compensation bands and benefits, such that bands and benefits offerings are aligned to external talent market realities.
  • Partner with SVP, P&C on talent management initiatives such as succession planning, developing successors within the organization, and high potential talent development.
  • Audit and recommend changes to current performance management philosophy, practices, and systems with an eye towards developing a healthy feedback culture and raising the bar on performance standards and expectations.
  • Build out the learning and development function, leveraging current policies and practices, with an eye towards career growth and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Partner with the P&C team and Executive Leadership Team to develop a data dashboard that tracks key HR metrics with the goal of better decision making around hiring, retaining, and rewarding talent.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and change management as it relates to implementing revised or new talent management practices.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working in a nonprofit or technology-focused organization in an HR role required.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition and executive search, with a proven track record of leading global recruitment initiatives. Understanding of Talent management and employee life cycle.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting talent management and the employee lifecycle in the capacity of a HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar positions.
  • High proficiency in working with and administering HR systems including but not limited to: HR Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Performance Management (PMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Employer of Record/Professional Employment Organization Systems/Portals.
  • Experience using cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft 360, Outlook, Slack, Zoom, Box, etc.

  • Analytical mindset, capable of leveraging data to inform decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Maintains a humble and receptive attitude, valuing collaboration and feedback over personal recognition.
  • Experience working in international non-profits.
  • Experience working in a fully remote environment.

Compensation and benefits for this position will be paid in local currency and based on the country and geographic location’s local salary and benefits market data for the position. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, business and organizational needs.
