Job Description

Seeking a strong and inquisitive researcher, data storyteller, and writer, to strengthen our understanding of how economic, societal, and public policy trends are shaping retirement, financial wellbeing, and workplace outcomes across U.S. and global markets. You will help lead Fidelity’s Global Thought Leadership program to engage and support large multinational employer clients and their employees. Drawing on a combination of proprietary research, primary research and external data sources, you will generate evidence-based insights that help Fidelity and our clients understand emerging challenges and opportunities in an evolving global landscape. You will partner closely with Thought Leadership colleagues, as well as research, marketing, and consulting partners to analyze a broad mix of data and insight sources. You will identify new opportunities to develop compelling thought leadership content and help communicate complex findings in a clear, engaging and actionable way. Working collaboratively across Fidelity, you will engage with subject matter experts in retirement, benefits, and client strategy. You will also work closely with go-to-market teams to ensure insights are translated into impactful reports, client-facing presentations, reports, industry commentary, social media, and more. The role is accountable for research and thought leadership strategy, insight development, stakeholder engagement, content governance, regulatory oversight, regional activation, budget management and vendor management.

The Global Thought Leadership Team sits within Fidelity's Research and Thought Leadership function. The team develops innovative research and evidence-based insights that help shape global perspectives on retirement, financial wellbeing, workplace benefits and the future of work. • Content Strategy Governance: Provide strategic oversight of the development and publication of all Global Thought Leadership research outputs. Ensure research is translated into engaging, accurate and commercially relevant client insights. Maintain editorial quality and consistency across all formats and channels.
  • Regional Activation: Work with regional marketing and consulting teams in key markets to maximize the value of global research. With a ‘globally consistent, locally relevant’ mindset, ensure global programs can be effectively adapted for local market conditions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
