Interim Group Finance and Reporting Director

London – Hybrid
£130,000 - £140,000

We are partnering with an international infrastructure and real assets investment platform seeking an experienced senior finance leader for a 6-month contract. The business combines investment management activities with a portfolio of operating companies across multiple jurisdictions, creating a complex and highly commercial finance environment.

This role sits at the centre of group reporting, technical accounting, consolidation, treasury oversight and governance. Working closely with operating company finance teams, senior leadership and external stakeholders, you will help drive high-quality financial reporting, strengthen controls and support strategic initiatives across the wider group.

This is a highly visible position offering regular interaction with boards and senior decision-makers. We are keen to speak with Finance Directors, Group Financial Controllers, Heads of Financial Reporting, Directors of Group Reporting and Deputy CFOs who enjoy operating within decentralised organisations and can combine strong technical expertise with commercial judgement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of consolidated group financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, accounting policy development and emerging reporting requirements.
  • Provide oversight and challenge to finance teams across multiple operating companies and international entities, ensuring consistency of accounting and reporting standards.
  • Own the group consolidation process across a complex international structure, delivering accurate and timely reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the annual audit and interim reporting process, managing relationships with external auditors and advisers.
  • Support boards, audit committees and senior management through the preparation of high-quality reporting, analysis and technical papers.
  • Partner with investment, operating and corporate teams on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, refinancing activities and other strategic transactions.
  • Support treasury activities including liquidity planning, financing structures, covenant compliance, cash management and lender reporting.
  • Provide oversight of financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management processes across the organisation.
  • Work closely with operating businesses to enhance reporting quality, strengthen control environments and drive finance best practice.
  • Contribute to long-term business planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling activities.
  • Lead finance transformation, process improvement and reporting enhancement initiatives across the group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
