Role Overview

This high-profile finance role is critical for meeting LSEG’s external reporting requirements. It is part of the Group Reporting and Technical Accounting team, reporting directly to the Head of Group Reporting and Accounting. The role has a team of eight direct reports located in London, India, and Sri Lanka and collaborates closely with Finance, Investor Relations, FP&A, and IT systems teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the production and delivery of consolidated Group financial statements and other external reports.
  • Own and ensure timely, consistent delivery of the monthly Group reporting process.
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes across the Group.
  • Support finance systems transformation projects.
  • Act as the key coordinator with auditors.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Manage financial reporting in compliance with Group policies and procedures;
  • Oversee teams responsible for Group Consolidation;
  • Produce quarterly analytical review packs and present to CFO and Group Financial Controller;
  • Review actual rate divisional revenue disclosures;
  • Coordinate month-end close with divisional reporting teams and manage the monthly timetable;
  • Manage reporting across the finance systems, collaborating with IT to resolve issues;
  • Manage transition to new systems: FCC, Workiva and Fusion and seek continual improvements;
  • Manage reporting for corporate and consolidation entities;
  • Coordinate with auditors for deliverables and sign-off;
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Investor Relations to ensure consistency and meet external reporting needs;
  • Deliver compliance with Group Global Process Ownership (GPO – R2R) and Data Governance requirements.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent.
  • Extensive post-qualified experience.
  • Proficiency in IFRS accounting standards.
  • Experience in Fusion, FCC and Workiva preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to build effective global working relationships.
  • Effective oral and written communication tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Management skills to lead both senior accountants and non-finance personnel.
  • Proactive work ethic with initiative to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Problem-solving skills leveraging available resources and tools.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation aligned with business needs.
