Location: London, Liverpool Street. 3 days per week in office.
Requirements:
- Lead the bank’s cloud strategy, architecture, and execution across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Line/department management experience.
- Own the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms supporting front, middle, and back-office functions.
- Drive cloud adoption across the organisation, partnering with engineering, infrastructure, security, risk, compliance, and business leadership.
- Define and enforce cloud governance, operating models, standards, controls, and best practices across the enterprise.
- Oversee cloud migration programmes, platform modernisation, and transformation of legacy infrastructure.
- Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory, operational resilience, data security, and financial services compliance requirements.
- Lead and develop high-performing cloud engineering, architecture, DevOps, and platform teams.
- Manage relationships with major cloud providers, technology vendors, and strategic outsourcing partners.
- Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Own cloud cost management, FinOps, capacity planning, and optimisation across the estate.
- Work closely with cyber security teams to embed security-by-design across all cloud services and platforms.
- Provide executive-level reporting on cloud strategy, delivery progress, risk, resilience, and investment priorities.
- Support business growth by enabling faster, safer, and more reliable technology delivery.
- Bring deep experience from banking, capital markets, or highly regulated financial services environments.
- Act as a senior technology leader, influencing cloud direction across the wider enterprise technology function.
