Director - Hedge Fund Investment & Client Solutions
Our client is a leading alternatives specialist providing investment management, advisory and research solutions to institutional investors globally.
The firm works with sophisticated investors across hedge funds, private credit, private equity, and real assets. Its solutions include advisory relationships, bespoke portfolios, funds-of-one, separately managed accounts, and commingled products.
The Hedge Funds team invests across equity long/short, relative value, event-driven, macro, and multi-strategy strategies. It combines global manager research with portfolio construction and ongoing investment oversight, supporting clients through both advisory and discretionary mandates.
The Opportunity
The firm is looking to appoint an experienced Hedge Fund Investment Specialist to its London team.
This is a senior, externally focused position combining hedge fund investment expertise with institutional client engagement. The successful candidate will become a trusted investment partner to a select group of clients, helping them understand portfolio positioning, performance, risk, and developments across the hedge fund market.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Hedge Funds team in meetings with institutional clients, consultants, and prospective investors.
- Explain portfolio positioning, performance, risk, and market developments in a clear and commercially relevant way.
- Translate manager research and portfolio analysis into effective client discussions, presentations, and investment updates.
- Work closely with investment, relationship management, and business development colleagues on client retention, fundraising, and broader commercial initiatives.
- Support the implementation and ongoing oversight of advisory portfolios, discretionary mandates, and bespoke hedge fund solutions.

Candidate Profile
- Relevant experience within hedge fund investing, manager research, portfolio management, investment consulting, or investment solutions.
- Strong knowledge of hedge fund strategies, portfolio construction, risk, liquidity, leverage, and derivatives.
- Experience communicating complex investment information to sophisticated institutional investors and senior stakeholders.
- An established client-facing background, or a clear interest in moving from an investment-led role into a more externally focused position.
- Strong presentation, relationship management, and written communication skills.
