Supporting the HVACR Business within Johnson Controls’ Global Products and Solutions organization, your mission will be to support the development of Johnson Controls' HVACR growth strategy, working closely with both the Global Enterprise Strategy team and Business Unit leadership. This role will identify emerging technology trends, define market entry strategies, and lead strategic initiatives including M&A
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market analysis on infrastructure trends, technology shifts, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic priorities and identify highest-value growth opportunities
- Support Portfolio and Product Strategy: Partner with business units and innovation teams to define strategic roadmaps, prioritize investments, and align product development with market requirements and emerging customer needs
- Support M&A and Partnership Roadmap: Support sourcing and evaluation of acquisition targets and strategic partnerships through market research, competitive analysis, and strategic fit assessment to inform corporate development priorities.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead development of long-term strategic plan and define new and refine existing strategic initiatives. Collaborate with executive leadership to define new strategic initiatives, ensuring all initiatives are actionable with a clear roadmap for execution (strategic rationale and scope, business cases, budget, schedule, resources). Ensure that overall initiatives plan / roadmap is aligned to the business targets.
- Program Management and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement full functioning, global PMO as needed and deliver regular communication of progress for Board of Directors and senior leadership reviews. Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, clients, and partners, to facilitate communication and manage expectations.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior program managers and team members, fostering professional development and enhancing program management capabilities within the organization.

What We Look For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related.
- 7+ years of Strategic Development experience, including at least 2-3 years in a top-tier strategy consulting firm
- Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations, in a strategy consulting environment.
- Proven ability to deliver concrete outcomes in program or project settings, especially where success relies on influencing stakeholders beyond formal reporting lines.
- Proven skills in teamwork, project management, and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be self-motivated.
- Skilled at setting priorities and navigating tradeoffs in analytically rigorous, fast-paced environments with a strong sense of urgency and limited oversight.
- Proactive and collaborative approach to tackling challenges, with a hands-on problem-solving mindset.
- Strong command of English communication, with a focus on content development rather than process facilitation.
- Open-minded and intellectually curious, with a drive to explore new ideas, learn quickly, and adapt in dynamic contexts.
- Positive, can-do attitude with keen attention to detail.

Preferred
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Background in management consulting.
- Experience in the Building Technologies line of Business.
