CAPGEMINI INVENT: WHY JOIN US?

At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client's challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.

YOUR ROLE

We lead the digitisation of global manufacturing and asset intensive companies across a broad range of industries including Consumer Goods, Aerospace & Defence, Life Sciences and Energy Transition & Utilities. Our blend of strategy, transformation, engineering and cloud skills makes us unique in our field. We work with many multi-national clients, using our scale and breadth of skills to grow Smart Asset projects from Proof of Concept through to adoption at-scale.

As a Director in our Intelligent Industry practice you will lead the sales and delivery of projects to create autonomous operations for our clients through the adoption of digital technologies and AI. You will work with leaders in Operations and Engineering functions to define the digitisation strategy, calculate the business case, design the transformation roadmap to achieve the strategy and lead client teams in adopting new ways of working. You will lead teams of consultants working closely with operators and technicians to make changes sustainable thus assuring long-term benefits.

Our consultants typically work directly alongside our clients at their sites, keeping the focus of digitisation on the user experience and the business outcomes. As a Director, you will build teams to deliver such projects and take responsibility for the personal and professional development of the practitioners. You will typically work with colleagues from Capgemini’s Engineering, Data and Cloud Services businesses and frog, our Digital Agency. You will lead teams collaborating to design, build and implement digital solutions that enable our clients to improve service levels, reduce costs and improve sustainability outcomes. As part of the Intelligent Industry extended leadership team you will share responsibility for the growth of our practice and practitioners.

As an Industry 4.0 & Connected Assets leader you will play a key role in:

  • Growing Capgemini Invent’s business through building our Industrial Asset Management capabilities;
  • Developing our people through training the next generation of consulting leaders;
  • Building the competitiveness and resilience of our clients in their marketplaces; and
  • Leading the adoption of AI and associated transformation of business models in key sectors of the UK economy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
