Director / Vice President – Energy & Infrastructure Investment Banking

A London-based specialized investment banking advisory firm is adding a Director / Vice President to its Corporate Investment Banking team. The firm advises leading developers, institutional sponsors, and sovereign entities on M&A, structured debt, project finance, and capital raising across the energy transition, sustainable infrastructure, and natural resources sectors globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end origination and execution of complex M&A, project finance, debt advisory, and capital-raising mandates.
  • Drive transaction structuring across debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, including bespoke concession, tariff, and commercial frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing lead with C-suite executives, boards, financial sponsors, and sovereign/multilateral institutions.
  • Oversee and challenge financial modelling, valuation workstreams, and transaction documentation (NBO, SPA, financing agreements).
  • Lead negotiations alongside external legal, technical, and commercial advisers through to transaction close.
  • Manage, mentor, and resource multidisciplinary deal teams across multiple live mandates.

  • 7-12+ years of experience within Investment Banking, Infrastructure M&A, Project Finance, or specialized Energy Corporate Finance (VP, Director, or ED level).
  • Proven track record leading and closing transactions across Energy Transition, Renewables, Power, Infrastructure, or Natural Resources.
  • Strong familiarity with cross-border, international, or growth/emerging market transactions.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills with direct client origination and execution experience.
  • Deep technical grounding in M&A execution, structured finance, and complex contract negotiation.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; an MBA or CFA is an advantage.
