Director - Investment Firms Compliance
Location: London
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days office)
Compensation: Director level salary + Benefits + bonus
A leading regulatory consultancy is seeking a Director to help drive the continued growth of its Investments Firms practice.
This is a senior leadership role combining regulatory expertise, commercial responsibility, and client relationship management. You'll work with investment managers, brokers, capital markets firms, and other MiFID and AIFMD regulated businesses, acting as a trusted adviser on complex regulatory matters while helping to shape the future direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a portfolio of investment firm clients
- Advise on FCA regulatory matters including MiFID / AIFMD, IFPR, and SMCR
- Oversee regulatory advisory, compliance monitoring, and FCA authorisation projects
- Develop and strengthen senior client relationships
- Identify and win new business opportunities
- Contribute to thought leadership and market engagement
- Lead, mentor, and develop consultants within the team
- Take ownership of commercial performance, profitability, and growth initiatives

About You
- Strong experience within investment firms regulation, compliance consulting, or professional services
- Deep understanding of the investment firms FCA regulatory environment
- Expertise across MiFID / AIFMD, IFPR, SMCR, conduct, and financial crime frameworks
- Proven ability to build senior stakeholder relationships
- Experience leading complex advisory engagements
- Commercially minded with a track record of growing accounts or generating business
- Strong leadership and people management experience
