About Unity Advisory
Unity Advisory is a modern advisory business built for today's CFO. It combines deep expertise with an AI-native operating model designed to deliver better evidence, faster execution and stronger client outcomes.
Through direct access to the expertise needed to solve complex challenges and a pace of delivery that enables organisations to seize opportunities, Unity delivers advisory as it should be, through a model that is free from audit conflict.
The Role
We're building a Managed Services practice from the ground up — a new, ongoing offer for mid-market and private equity-backed businesses, built on modern tooling and automation rather than junior headcount. It sits as a horizontal across Tax, Office of the CFO and Deals, so you'll work closely with key partners across the business to solution, price and deliver AI-native managed services offerings from scratch.
You'll generate and close new business yourself, build the technical solution across people, process and technology, own the commercial model and proposals, and stay close enough to delivery to make sure it runs the way you sold it. Expect your week to move between pitch meetings and client engagement reviews — solutioning and selling, then partnering with the service lines on delivery depending on where the domain expertise sits.
Key Responsibilities
- Win and grow managed services mandates across mid-market and PE-backed clients, owning the sales cycle from first conversation through to signed contract.
- Design, solution and price managed service propositions across Office of the CFO and Tax domains, built on automation rather than added headcount, and own the end-to-end technical solution and proposal for individual deals.
- Build relationships with PE deal teams and portfolio company CFOs so Unity is the natural choice for post-deal back office support.
- Work in conjunction with key partners to establish an effective managed services business.
- In conjunction with key partners and broader Unity service lines, set the delivery model for the Managed Services practice, including tooling decisions, process design and team structure, working with our tech and product team.
- Lead proposal writing, pitch presentations and RFP responses for new managed services opportunities.
- Build and mentor a solution and deals team as the practice grows, bringing in the right mix of managed services skillsets — i.e. pricing architecture, commercial architecture, transition architecture.
- Represent Unity externally — speaking, networking and building our name in AI-enabled Managed Services operations.
- Work with partners across Deals, Tax and Office of the CFO to identify cross-sell opportunities into existing client accounts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
