Director, Markets Operations Transformation
Role Profile:
Reporting to the Head of Markets Operations Transformation, you will be accountable for shaping and delivering large-scale transformation programs, including leading the Markets Operations AI and automation agenda.
Define strategic priorities, align investments with business objectives, and drive execution across global operations. Partner with executive leadership to identify high value opportunities, accelerate AI adoption, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable operational and financial outcomes. Act as a strategic advisor, translating complex business challenges into scalable AI solutions that create lasting enterprise value.
The role will partner with business heads, COOs, and Head of Operations across Markets.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Automation Program Manager
- Define and lead strategy and execution for AI and automation, ensuring alignment with business priorities and global objectives.
- Identify transformational AI opportunities that improve business processes, increase efficiency, and create competitive advantage across the organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams responsible for AI strategy, program execution, and organizational transformation while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Advise senior executives on AI investment decisions, organization priorities, and long-term transformation strategies that support business growth.
- Measure and communicate the business impact of AI investments using financial, operational, and strategic performance indicators.
Program Execution:
- Lead complex transformation initiatives spanning technology modernization, operating model redesign, and regulatory driven change.
- Drive operational excellence across program delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality management.
- Determine critical path for successful project delivery and actively manage dependencies to drive projects.
- Develop OKRs and provide reporting updates on progress against projects to internal forums up to and including executive committee, boards, and externally such as regulators.
- Oversee PMO activities, ensuring robust governance, budgeting, forecasting, tracking cost, timely delivery, and benefits of transformation projects.

Value, Prioritization & Execution:
- Identify and prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk reduction, scalability, and strategic fit.
- Own investment cases, sequencing decisions, and budget accountability.
- Make and stand behind difficult trade-offs when capacity, funding, or timing constraints arise.
Measurement & Outcomes:
- Define and track transformation success across multiple dimensions:
- Operational efficiency and cost
- Risk reduction and control effectiveness
- Time to market and scalability
- Enablement of growth and innovation
- Provide clear, outcome-focused reporting to senior collaborators.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record in large-scale transformation within financial markets operations or clearing services, driving strategic target operating model change end to end.
- Strong understanding of FMI operations or global markets and banking operations.
- Experienced with change risk management techniques and change management frameworks.
- Expertise in process automation technologies, process redesign, and manual process elimination.
- Excellent stakeholder management, governance, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to deep dive on detail.
- Financial management skillsets in a transformation including capex and opex.
- Desired professional qualifications such as: Prince II, PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma.
