Material Bank is the world’s largest material marketplace for the architecture and design industry.

Operating in 37 countries, our platform has become the standard for design professionals around the globe. Every day, Material Bank connects thousands of designers with tens of thousands of materials from leading brands. Material Bank is the fastest and most powerful way for design professionals to search, sample, and specify materials.

As Director, Mobility Partnerships, you will lead Material Bank’s expansion into the global mobility interiors market, building strategic partnerships with leading brands across automotive, aviation, and marine.

This is not a traditional sales role—it is an opportunity to establish a new vertical by leveraging deep industry expertise, trusted relationships, and commercial acumen.

You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing founding brand partners while serving as Material Bank’s representative within a highly specialized industry. Success in this role requires credibility, confidence, and the ability to build long-term relationships with senior leaders across Europe and North America. You understand the business, speak the language of the industry, and know how to create value beyond the transaction.

This is a senior, external-facing role for someone who has spent their career within the mobility interiors ecosystem. You thrive in face-to-face conversations, industry events, customer visits, and executive meetings, knowing that lasting partnerships are built through trust and personal relationships. The role is Europe-based and requires extensive international travel (approximately 80–90%) across Europe and North America, with significant focus on Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

What you’ll do

  • Build Material Bank’s founding portfolio of mobility interior brand partners across automotive, aviation, and marine.
  • Own the full business development lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and developing relationships through negotiation and partnership execution.
  • Represent Material Bank at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events, building awareness and establishing credibility within the mobility interiors community.
  • Develop trusted relationships with executives, commercial leaders, designers, specification teams, and decision-makers across leading manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Lead consultative business conversations that demonstrate how Material Bank creates value through material discovery, digital sampling, specification tools, and market insights.
  • Partner closely with Product, Catalog, Marketing, and Leadership to shape Material Bank’s strategy for the mobility sector, bringing customer and market insights back into the business.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive trends, and emerging technologies that influence the future of mobility interiors.
  • Serve as a trusted industry expert, helping establish Material Bank as the leading platform for mobility material discovery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
