Chief Academic Strategist
You have set a clear academic vision in the past and taken full ownership of the results. You have led visibly and directly, not from behind closed doors. When it comes to learning science, you are not experimenting—you have built proven systems, delivered measurable results, and earned credibility to present that work publicly. If this describes your experience, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its chief academic strategist.
At 2 Hour Learning, we have developed a model that enables students to learn at twice the speed in only two hours each day. This is achieved through AI tutors, mastery-based progression, and a fundamental shift away from traditional classroom design. The outcomes speak for themselves. We now need a leader who can align execution across varied school environments, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the public advocate for a movement rooted in credible learning science.
This role is not centered on academic theory. It is a leadership imperative. You will take ownership of academic strategy in execution, establish rigorous standards, surface gaps in performance, and develop high-performing teams to produce tangible results. You will convert our scientific principles into operational rigor and champion this model on a global stage.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational systems, and app functionality.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm that school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results-driven.
- Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most impactful obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback, and milestone management to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the external representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—to influence global perspectives on education systems.

Director Of Academic Excellence Key Responsibilities
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across school sites, raising leadership expectations, and embodying the public voice of a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrated outcomes.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
