£80,000 DOE
Uncapped Performance Bonus + Company Car / Allowance + Private Healthcare + Pension
Hybrid working with fortnightly travel to Middlesbrough (accommodation & mileage provided when travelling)
Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with The Bodhi Group, a luxury Addiction clinic combining both world-class residential addiction treatment with innovative healthcare technology situated in the North East of England. Founded by Executive Team who offer backgrounds in social care, technology and even lived experience of addiction the Bodhi Clinic represents a new approach to addiction.
Together we are seeking to appoint a Director of Admissions & Business Development to play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth across the business. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, this is a high-profile commercial appointment with responsibility for maximising occupancy across the group's services while developing a sustainable pipeline of high-quality patient admissions. Current Heads of Business Development, Admissions Directors, Commercial Directors and Senior Business Development Managers with experience within independent healthcare private addiction / mental health care is of course highly desirable.

This is a relationship-led position, requiring an individual who can develop and nurture referral networks across both the private and statutory sectors. You will build strategic partnerships with psychiatrists, psychologists, GPs, hospitals, insurers, case managers, employers, solicitors, local authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), commissioners and wider healthcare professionals to generate new referral opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
Alongside developing new business, you will oversee the admissions journey from initial enquiry through to admission, ensuring every prospective patient receives an exceptional experience while working closely with the marketing team to maximise enquiry generation and conversion. You will also provide occupancy forecasting, pipeline reporting and commercial insight to the Executive Team, helping shape the organisation's long-term growth strategy as additional services are launched across the UK.
Essential Requirements
- Proven success increasing admissions within private healthcare, addiction services or mental health.
- Demonstrable experience building and maintaining high-value referral networks.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of driving occupancy and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for improving access to high-quality treatment and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
- Willingness to travel as the organisation continues to expand.
