Lyst

Lyst is a global fashion shopping platform founded in London in 2010 and catering to over 160M shoppers per year. We offer our customers the largest assortment of premium and luxury fashion products in one place, curating pieces from 27,000 of the world's leading brands and stores. In 2025, Lyst joined Zozo, operators of Zozotown, the leading fashion e-commerce platform in Japan. This partnership marks a bold new era for Lyst, as we accelerate our vision and work together to transform the future of fashion shopping through AI and technology.

At Lyst, we obsess over the customer, providing a search and discovery experience which offers inspiration, fulfilment, and personalisation. We believe that fashion is amazing but shopping for fashion often isn't, and we use our technology, data and creativity to bring more joy, greater choice and fewer fails. Our mission is to help fashion shoppers make better decisions and help fashion partners find better audiences as the category-leading destination for every fashion shopper.

The Role

We're looking for a Director of Analytics to lead our lean, multi-disciplined, best-in-class analytics team. As director, you will set the mission, technical direction, and culture of the analytics function. You will provide technical direction on product analytics, experimentation, attribution, forecasting, and manage analytical frameworks. You will promote a culture of discovering and communicating insights, as well as enabling self-service analysis capabilities for stakeholders. You will also evangelise and inspire best practices across the company.

You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with the Director of Data Platform and Directors in other functions such as Product, Engineering, Partnerships, Finance and Marketing. Our stack includes AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Python, R and other best in class, modern tooling for business reporting, experimentation, and analysis. We are heavily invested in advanced AI-enhanced analytics tools across the company, and you will drive the evaluation, deployment and adoption of more powerful tools to scale self-serve analytics.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing, diverse analytics team
  • Foster a culture of deep analysis, commercial sense, innovation, best practices and evangelizing non-obvious insights (not simply reporting data)
  • Align team objectives with company goals and strategic initiatives
  • Apply strong commercial intuition, customer-focus and data analysis to drive strategic decision-making

Technical Direction and Innovation

  • Provide expert guidance on horizontal technical analytical areas, including experimentation, attribution, forecasting, predictive analytics, and observability
  • Continuously identify opportunities for advanced analytics and data methodologies and enable implementation
  • Identify and track appropriate metrics to measure success across all areas of the business
  • Ensure trustworthiness and timeliness of data used by stakeholders from all departments of the company

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
