Director of Asset & Sustainability

Location: Hybrid role. You can be based from any of our offices in London, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham or Durham, with regular national travel.

You’ll lead the delivery of our newly agreed Asset Strategy, helping shape decisions that affect thousands of homes and customers. This is your chance to influence investment, sustainability and asset priorities at the highest level, with direct exposure to our Executive Team and Board. What you’ll do

  • Lead asset and sustainability priorities that keep homes safe and future-ready.
  • Shape long-term investment plans balancing customer needs, risks and affordability.
  • Use trusted data to guide investment, disposal and asset performance decisions.
  • Drive net zero and retrofit programmes with clear, costed delivery plans.
  • Build collaborative relationships across teams to deliver joined-up outcomes.

You have

  • Experience managing large and complex housing portfolios successfully.
  • Built long-term investment strategies linked to business priorities.
  • Balanced commercial decisions with strong customer-focused outcomes.
  • Led sustainability, carbon reduction or retrofit programmes successfully.
  • Inspired high-performing teams and led through complex change.

Practical bits

  • You’ll work Monday to Friday.
  • You’ll work core hours between 9.00am and 5.30pm with flexibility built in.
  • Car allowance included in your package.
  • You need an Enhanced with barring list DBS check that we pay for.
