Help Build a Brand Millions Trust

At L&C, we're not like most financial services businesses.

For more than 25 years, we've helped people navigate one of life's biggest financial decisions, earning our place as the UK's favourite mortgage partner. Our values aren't statements on a wall. They guide the decisions we make every day, including our commitment to fee-free mortgage advice and our mission to help more people feel empowered about their choices.

Following a significant transformation of our brand positioning, we're entering an ambitious new phase of growth. We have a clear strategy, strong momentum and the marketing investment to accelerate our ambitions.

Now we're looking for an exceptional Director of Brand & Customer Communications to help write the next chapter.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a category-leading brand, leading how customers experience L&C across every touchpoint, from fame-building campaigns to the communications that support them throughout their homeownership journey.

The Role

As Director of Brand & Customer Communications, you'll lead the strategy, development and delivery of our brand, campaigns and customer communications.

Reporting as a key member of the senior leadership team, you'll balance long-term brand building with short-term commercial performance, creating marketing that is distinctive, effective and measurable.

You'll lead a team of six, including the Head of Brand & Campaigns and the Senior Customer Communications Manager, ensuring our voice, proposition and personality are consistently brought to life across every customer interaction.

We're looking for someone who will challenge category conventions, champion customers relentlessly and bring fresh thinking that keeps L&C ahead of the pack.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
