Ready to make the step from Associate Director to Director?
Time to be rewarded for all your hard work?
Opportunities to step into a genuine Director position don't come around often especially with a consultancy that has built an outstanding reputation within the commercial property market and is continuing to invest in the growth of its Building Surveying division.
I'm working exclusively with one of the UK's leading independent property consultancies, looking to appoint a Director to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of its Manchester office.
This isn't simply another senior fee earning position. The business is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Building Surveyor who wants to lead from the front, develop client relationships, generate new business and mentor the next generation of surveyors. If you're currently an Associate Director and feel ready for your first Director appointment, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The Opportunity
You'll join an established Manchester team comprising an Executive Director, Director, Chartered Building Surveyor, three Graduates and dedicated administrative support. With a strong pipeline of instructions and an impressive client base already in place, you'll play a key role in developing both the team and the business across the North West.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
