We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Business Development Director with a proven track record of selling pre-clinical and drug discovery services into biotechnology, pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations.

This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation at the forefront of discovery research, developing strategic partnerships with leading scientific innovators while driving significant commercial growth.

If you're passionate about science, thrive on winning new business and enjoy building long-term client relationships, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As Business Development Director, you will take ownership of a defined territory (UK) and be responsible for generating new business, expanding strategic accounts and delivering sustainable revenue growth across Perceptive Discovery's pre-clinical services portfolio.

Working closely with scientific and operational experts, you'll help clients address complex discovery challenges while positioning Perceptive Discovery as a trusted partner throughout the early stages of drug development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
