Business Development Director | Mainframe Modernisation

£100,000 to £120,000 basic + £7,000 car allowance

Birmingham / hybrid

I am recruiting for a Business Development Director focused on mainframe modernisation. Can you guide complex enterprise technology opportunities through to a successful close?

The emphasis is on progressing and converting existing opportunities, building trusted relationships, and bringing together the technical and commercial elements of major transformation programmes.

You’ll work with enterprise clients, including banks and insurers, often alongside System Integrators leading the wider client relationship.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience shaping and closing complex enterprise technology deals
  • A background in mainframe modernisation, application transformation, or comparable technology services
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders in regulated industries
  • Strong commercial judgement across proposals, pricing, and negotiations
  • The technical understanding to work effectively with solution and delivery teams
  • The organisation and project management skills to keep lengthy sales processes moving
