Commercial & Partnerships Director
Location: UK (Hybrid)
We're partnering with an innovation-led organisation operating at the intersection of technology, industry, and government to appoint a Commercial & Partnerships Director.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving commercial growth, developing strategic partnerships, and shaping market opportunities across sectors including transport, energy, telecoms, infrastructure, defence, and emerging technologies.
You will lead a team of business development professionals while building relationships with senior stakeholders across industry, government, funding bodies, academia, and the innovation ecosystem. The successful candidate will develop and execute commercial strategy, secure high-value partnerships and revenue opportunities, and help organisations adopt innovative technologies to solve real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the commercial growth strategy.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing business development and partnerships team.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships across industry, government, and key stakeholders.
- Identify, shape, and secure high-value commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Drive revenue growth across multiple sectors and markets.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, forums, and senior stakeholder engagements.
- Work collaboratively across technical, commercial, and delivery teams to turn opportunities into measurable outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in commercial leadership, business development, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and securing complex, high-value opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder network across industry, government, technology, or innovation sectors.
- Experience managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Experience leading and developing commercial teams.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling commercial propositions.
